It is almost here!
My 4th Authorcon is this coming weekend and not only do I have enough excitement to get there on fumes, I’m also really excited to do my panel as a moderator!
Let me give you all the details…
My wife and I will be driving down this Thursday for the annual Williamsburg festivities and this year is bigger, more exciting, and a lot more familiar faces will be attending.
Friday the 29th, I will have a panel and moderating! Wow, I never thought I’d be in this position! (certainly not yet at least)
Here are the panel details:
8:30pm – 9:30pm (Second Floor, Room 17): Horror Writer’s Guide To Networking Etiquette – Joseph Pesavento (moderator), Robert Swartwood, Shane McKenzie, Rebecca Cuthbert, B.C. Lienesch, John Lynch, and Rebecca Rowland discuss the Dos and Don’ts of networking with authors, editors, publishers, and agents.
I’m really excited to talk etiquette with everyone. There’s a lot of questionable behavior floating around the author space and often with people I either know or directly affects people I know. So I’m looking forward to breaking down proper dos and don’ts with people. Also, I will need the rest of the week to build up the bravery to get through this!
Secondly, will be doing a reading Saturday afternoon.
Details below:
12:45pm – 1:30pm (Second Floor, Room 12): Tommy B. Smith and Joseph Pesavento
I’m currently torn between my two choices but I’m far less uncomfortable reading these days. I read with Chris DiLeo back at Horror Reader Weekend and I’d never felt more comfortable reading in front of a group before. It’s just getting that awful dry mouth that bothers me!
I will be posting many photos and videos throughout social media so keep your eyes peeled!
With the excitement lingering for Authorcon, I also have to mention that I have officially finished Our Family Home and will begin editing this week! I am ready to get this new book out and share the new cover very soon!
Maybe right after the weekend dies down I’ll post it. Obviously it will be here before anywhere else!
I truly appreciate you guys showing support. It really excites me to get these newsletters out. (even though I’ve slacked lately which I apologize for)
Now, let me get back to some editing and getting last minute prep done before Author Con. See you guys next weekend!
Your horrific friend,
Joe
