Toward A New Life!
Reflecting on 2025…
We are at the end of 2025 and it is time to reflect.
I had an outstanding year, whether it were traveling for shows or for leizure, and I am happily admitting this was the best year of my life.
Some accomplishments:
Releasing my 6th book
Finding out my wife is pregnant
Vending at numerous favorite shows
Seeing friends in different states and countries
Expanding my brand and meeting new readers
This newsletter was started because of friends I’ve made, readers who keep me going, and the inability to do anything but continue my writing journey forward. I was meant to do this and it will continue on.
One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned this year was about time. I had to understand the hard way that doing too much at once will eventually make you choose. I spent so much time focusing on little things that don’t matter that I sometimes lose at things that do matter. I had to take a step back and realize I need to prioritize my free time to the things that will improve my life rather than the ones that will hold me back.
In less than a month, I will be a father to a wonderful baby boy. I cannot allow myself to become distracted by things that aren’t important. He is, and what he needs takes priority over everything.
I will always stay on this writing path and keep putting out work I will one day tell my son about, but I have accepted the books will be slower to come out, the daily writing may shrink, and I will not be in attendance of some shows I’ve grown to love.
That is all okay. I am entering into my 5th year as an author and I will still try my best to get new books out to readers and keep growing. There are ways to expand that I haven’t tried and I have a much bigger network then ever before.
The best part about being an author is never getting sick or tired of the stories I want to tell. I believe it will make me a better father to have something to work toward other than a job. Life is about purpose and I fortunately found mine. I cannot live my life and expect to raise a driven child if I have no purpose to serve.
There must be something to wake up for every day. There must be a reason we try. There must be something I tell him to work toward. Otherwise, we can all live for the bare minimum. Purpose gives life value.
I am happy to announce my new cover is nearly complete. It’s a fully illustrated cover that I had done by an excellent artist named Stefan Koidl. January will bring a cover reveal. The text needs work so I need time to finalize it. Expect a full reveal in mid to late January!
I’ve been rethinking my releases for next year. After my current, I’ll be diving into a secret project and follow that with Death Cleanse 2. I think that saves me a lot of trouble with releases and scheduling. More news on those soon.
I want to thank all of you for reading and keeping up with my news. Though posts have been slower this year, I’ll do my best to be more attentive next year. I’ll be a new father, but I believe that will drive me even more to be successful at the things I want. No more wasting time. A new life begins!
I close out this newsletter with a gratitude deeper than ever before. 2025 has given me a lot to reflect on and I will take a lot of knowledge into 2026.
Go get a book on New Years Day. Planet Fitness can wait.
Happy Reading!
Your horrific friend,

I'm so excited for you and your wife! Kids > Work everytime. You'll be in the trenches of new parents with a new baby soon and it will be hell BUT you only experience it once with your little. Cherish it because it does go by fast.
